GlobeCast Australia, Australia’s premier Broadcast Services Provider with over 100 transmission channels, is continuing to expand its Engineering and Operations facilities in Sydney and we seek applications from candidates interested in playing a senior role in the operation and future development of our International Broadcast Centre.
The ideal candidate will have an Engineering background obtained in the Broadcast Industry and have a working knowledge of equipment used in satellite and fibre delivery. We require practical experience with digital transmission systems ranging from video and audio compression equipment, multiplexing and SDI. Additional valued skills include a good knowledge of AutoCad, operation and build of broadcast facilities including MCRs, routers, compression equipment, RF and uplink systems.
A positive attitude, strong communication skills including leadership aspirations and a commitment to excellence are essential.

DSNG ENGINEER

GlobeCast Australia is the leading provider of professional satellite and broadcast services in Australasia operating a fleet of mobile satellite digital uplink vehicles from our Sydney headquarters.
GlobeCast Australia is seeking to recruit an experienced DSNG Engineer with proven qualifications at senior level interested in playing a role in supplementing and enhancing the skillbase of existing staff. The successful candidate will be required to work in a busy, demanding and expanding company with commensurate rewards.
The ideal candidate must have extensive practical skills in the field of satellite broadcasting, particularly relating to HD and SD DSNG applications, with a comprehensive knowledge of television broadcast and operation standards. Experience in the operation and maintenance of land transport and ‘fly-away’ satellite systems is essential.
A positive attitude, strong communication skills, including leadership aspirations, and a commitment to excellence are essential.

MASTER CONTROL OPERATOR

GlobeCast Australia – Australia’s premier Broadcast Services provider – operates an extensive international fibre network, DTH satellite platforms, large DSNG fleet and major Teleport facility. It has the busiest independent MCR in Australia servicing the video signal contribution and distribution needs – satellite or fibre – of all Australian networks and International broadcasters.
GlobeCast Australia has a vacancy for an experienced MCR operator to join our Team located in the Sydney CBD and participate in a busy, demanding and expanding company with commensurate rewards. The applicant must be prepared to work to a 24x7 roster with an average 38 hours per week.
Applicants for this position will need to be knowledgeable about current digital video techniques, fibre and satellite transmission, multiplex equipment, and signal routing. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling equipment; and will have the ability to quickly recognise potential problems and take appropriate action to ensure continuity of service.
A positive attitude and an ability to work under pressure with attention to detail are essential.

BOOKINGS TRAINEE

GlobeCast Australia has an extensive international fibre network, Direct To Home satellite platforms, large DSNG fleet and major teleport facility for the delivery of channels, live sport and other special events to Australian and International broadcast clients.
GlobeCast Australia has a vacancy for a trainee to join the Bookings team at its Artarmon offices in Sydney.
Duties will occur on a rotational shift basis, and will include allocating internal and external resources as needed to meet our clients’ requests. It will also include, apart from scheduling the job, checking completed work orders through to invoicing. Training in ScheduAll booking system will be given, but a high level of general computer literacy will be viewed positively.
This role requires a willingness to try new things, the sense to ask for advice when needed, and a cheerful, but dedicated disposition. An ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail is essential.
