Operating in the digital RF links environment, in 2011 and 2012 GlobeCast Australia and its clients will support GlobeCam to research and develop new applications for existing events and explore innovations for new clients. The GlobeCam team understands the key issues for sporting bodies and production companies: the size, weight and heat of their equipment, along with the stability and reliability of their pictures.
Across the media industry, GlobeCast Australia has been instrumental in the implementation of new technologies including electronics such as microwave and digital linking; satellite, cable and fibre services. Now, GlobeCam specialises in rigging cameras and transmitters, and in setting up receive equipment, efficiently, effectively and economically.
In motor racing, an audio channel in our microwave link will assist in passing telemetry data provided from the cars so that the television audience is eventually able to see graphic information such as the speed, engine revs, gears and braking displayed alongside the in-car camera shots from each car. We’ll build on electronics such as microwave and digital linking, distribution services, interactive multi-media programming and software development.
