GLOBECAM – LIVE, ONBOARD TECHNOLOGY

GlobeCam is at the forefront of live, miniature camera technology in the world today. Its coverage of the main round of the V8 Supercars in 2009, at Bathurst, was recently awarded Australia’s most prestigious sporting television award, given to the Seven Network for its broadcast. GlobeCam introduced multiple innovations in both camera angles and transmission techniques. The GlobeCam team also works with the Macau Grand Prix to cover F3, Super Bikes and Touring Cars. And GlobeCam’s expertise extends to the skies for various sports, and to the water.

The miniature camera, broadcast technology is live and onboard. It’s part of the revolution in digital television viewing, and is a natural extension of GlobeCast Australia’s links and distribution activities. In addition to a four year contract with V8 Supercars, GlobeCam has global clients in motor racing, cycling and air sports, to name a few. We can take viewers inside, onboard and skyhigh for bird’s-eye-view thrill rides. In the air, we can transmit gliding, aerobatics, sky diving, sky surfing, hang gliding and para gliding. On water, we cover sailing, and we’re involved in various cycling events in Australia and overseas.
