GlobeCast Australia is the leading supplier of live transmission technology to cutting edge medical conventions. In May 2010, our satellite fleet and capacity was used to connect five hospitals live to a major convention at Penrith Convention Centre in Sydney. Eminent medical personnel from Australia, India and Germany watched live hip and knee surgeries from Nepean Private, Norwest Private, Prince of Wales, St Luke’s Private and St Vincent’s Private Hospitals. GlobeCast Australia regularly transmits live medical events as part of its Business TV service. In 2009 for a major global event we beamed live surgeries from six countries to an international convention in Far North Queensland. The state of the art conference was programming up to three live cardiac surgeries every day. Conference delegates could ask questions while viewing the operations live. The operations were live from hospitals in Berlin in Germany, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Kochi in India, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Seoul in South Korea, Okayama in Japan and the Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
