Being a contemporary mom is no breezy walk in the park; it is not only extremely difficult but is also very challenging if you are a working mom. The increased number of hours that are now taken away from your day and can no longer be spent with your little one will add an extra set of obstacles and problems for you to overcome and solve. So, how then do we see all these amazing work moms being all balanced and getting their super-mom attitude on all the time? Looks like a lot of work, right? The secret to such a successful way of living is in one thing: balance. Just as it is with pretty much everything in life, a balance between whatever two or three things that you will have to tackle at any given time will allow you to find an easier and less complicated path to deal with it.

Honestly though, the word balance seems to be way overrated and over used now that it seems that the word has lost all its true meaning. The idea of balance isn’t about literally doing half and half of everything or dedicating exactly half your time to one thing and the other half to another. It is basically identifying which task or job needs your attention first and learning how to prioritize in a way that you don’t completely neglect either of your tasks. The same concept can be applied to balancing your mom life with your work life. Let’s find out how this can be done:

Make Sure Your Child Is Well Taken Care Of
Just because you can’t commit one hundred percent of your time to taking care of your little one doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t make sure that your little one is fully taken care of. What I mean by this is that you can easily find child care centres in Altona or anywhere around the area you live in or even the area around which you work in, whichever is more suited to you. When you leave your child in caring hands, you can be assured that you don’t have to spend your time worrying about the little one. Instead, you can use the time away and make sure your work is done with full commitment and your full dedication.
When At Work, Commit To That and When You Are With Your Child, Commit To That Moment
It is very important to understand the significance of committing to the present moment. If you are done with a long day of work and now are spending time with your little one, then put away your thoughts of work. Don’t bring any of those work problems home with you to take your attention away from your child. The same goes when you are at work. If you know the child is taken care of then fully dedicate your attention to your work this way you will receive the best results from both instances rather than doing a half way job for either. The idea of balance isn’t hard once you get the hang of it.
